Tiger Zinda Hai (English: Tiger Is Alive), also known as TZH, is a 2017 Hindi action thriller film co-written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The film stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Sajjad Delfrooz in leading roles, with Angad Bedi, Kumud Mishra, Nawab Shah, Girish Karnad and Paresh Rawal in supporting roles. The film is the sequel to the 2012 film Ek Tha Tiger and the second installment of the Tiger film series,[8] and is based on the 2014 abduction of Indian nurses by ISIL. The first look of the poster was revealed by Salman Khan through his official Twitter account on 18 October 2017 on the occasion of Diwali. The official trailer was released on 7 November.[11] The film was released on 22 December 2017. With a budget of ₹2.1 billion (US$33 million), it is the one of the most expensive Hindi film and one of the most expensive Indian films of all time. It has grossed more than ₹5.5 billion (US$86 million) at the box office,[3] becoming a major commercial success and one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time. At the 63rd Filmfare Awards, Tom Struthers won the Filmfare Award for Best Action.
